Currently\, he is preparing seminars\, projects as well as his own music album. \nGiorgos Morfitis (keyboards): born in Limassol\, started his classical music training from the early age of 6. He gets introduced to Jazz Music at Nakas Music School in Athens\, Greece. Soon after he studies at I.S.A Conservatory of Havana in Cuba\, focusing on classical music composition\, arranging and Jazz / Latin Performance. In 2004 he studies and specializes in Latin Jazz Music at Codarts Conservatory of Rotterdam in Holland\, obtaining a B.A and a M.A. In 2012\, he moves to Madrid to teach modern music at Gredos College and Katarina Gurska Conservatory. George has participated in well-known European Festivals such as North Sea Jazz Festival Round Town\, Madrid Jazz Festival\, Paradise Place Jazz Festival\, at the national T.V. of Madrid etc. He finally returns to Cyprus participating regularly in different music projects. \nElias Ioannou (trumpet): was born in Limassol. He has studied at Codarts University in Rotterdam specialising in Jazz Trumpet. He has shown up in concerts all across Europe\, Holland and Cyprus highlighting the North Sea Jazz Rotterdam Festival in which he performs up to three times. In the meanwhile\, he attends several master classes with world famous musicians such as Barry Harris\, Joshua Redman\, Snarky Puppy\, Aaron Parks and gets introduced to Latin Improvisations alongside the great trumpeter Amik Querra. The last years he has been touring within Holland\, recording with different jazz\, latin\, reggae and pop bands. Finally he ends up to his country of origin\, to teach trumpet and work in different musical projects. \nRodos Panagiotou (drums and percussion): is a well- known Cypriot drummer\, coming from a family of musicians. He shows up on stage at the early age of 10. After studying for several years at the Conservatory of Greece and Rotterdam\, he specialises in Latin- Jazz and World Music and sets up the Brazilian Percussion Group Batukinio\, performing for the first time at the opening of Cyprus Small Countries Games. During the last 10 years\, Rodos has been teaching at the European University of Cyprus and University of Nicosia. He has performed with Blue Wire\, New Dimensions and also recorded and toured with well- known composer Andreas Georgiou in Cyprus and Europe. Rodos has collaborated with significantly important musicians such as: Hernan Romero\, Giorgos Dalaras\, Marios Fragkoulis\, Kostas Makedonas\, Debora Meyers\, Pantelis Thalassinos\, Dimitris Mpassis\, Glykeria\, Stratos Kyrpios\, Anagnostakis\, Stefanos Korkollis etc.

DESCRIPTION:Limassol Folklore Association\, organizes this year the 14th International Children Folk dance Festival\, which has been established as an institution in the cultural activities of our country. DESCRIPTION:A dance performance on the borders of theatre and music; a poetic swarming speech unwinding the thread of the female narrative on stage. \nSpeechless is inspired by public speeches\, manifestos\, articles and texts\, bringing to the fore the fragmentary and unofficial voice of women as it has travelled through the centuries before reaching the present day. \nFemale emancipation and independence\, gender equality issues are constantly recurring and seem more and more relevant to our days. How does the female speech travelling through time sound today? How do we connect with the female narrative? \nSofia Mavragani\, persevering on a socio-political problematic\, with her subtle humorous approach and a disposition for ludic exploration\, returns to her collaboration with Martha Mavroidi\, known for the fusion of traditional and contemporary music. In Speechless\, Martha Mavroidi creates vocal compositions for a chamber orchestra where the performers themselves are the musical instruments. Chara Kotsali\, Giorgos Kotsifakis and Sania Stribakou alternate in a challenging performance on the fundament of dance that sometimes draws towards theatre and sometimes towards music. DESCRIPTION:The 22nd Cyprus Contemporary Dance Festival begins with a choreography by Arno Schuitemaker that has been presented at renowned theatres and performing arts festivals in over 15 countries across Europe. \nWith seeming casualness\, If You Could See Me Now sets a chilled-out club dance into one dizzying wave-like motion. The three performers see no limits to what they take out of their bodies\, propelled by the rhythm of the beat. \nProgressing continuously\, the vibes accumulate and electrify\, drawing the audience deeper and deeper into the performance. At maximal exertion and sweaty physicality\, the incessant movement flow audaciously redefines itself as luminous and versatile impressions. The performance space dilates and shifts. Time gets chopped up then reshapes. \nFrom ecstasy to turmoil\, from build-up to its dismantling\, If You Could See Me Now challenges expectations and appeals for another look\, to look again\, and it transforms an exact spontaneity into a hypnotic sensory experience. \nArno Schuitemaker was born in 1976 in The Netherlands and is based in Amsterdam. His creations include EXIT (2009)\, TIDE (2011)\, The Fifteen Project | DUET (2012)\, I is an Other (2014)\, Together_till the end (2015) and the trilogy for three performers While We Strive (2015)\, I will wait for you (2016) and If You Could See Me Now (2017). His most recent and largest scale work to date\, The Way You Sound Tonight\, premiered at the Holland Festival in June 2018. \nCompelling\, mesmeric\, intense — he creates works one has to experience. Using ongoing\, perpetual movement\, his perception-based performances become immersive and transformative encounters that speak about life and the time we live in. In collaboration with various extraordinary performers\, composers and lighting designers each work shapes its own identity and perspective. Often characterized as interdisciplinary\, they transcend dance and push its boundaries. \nThe performances have been presented at renowned theatres and contemporary performing arts festivals in over 15 countries across Europe and beyond. In Theatermaker magazine\, both The Way You Sound Tonight and I will wait for you were selected in the critics’ lists featuring among the best performances of the season.
