DESCRIPTION:On January 22-24\, in the theaters of Larnaca\, Nicosia and Limassol\, the fairytale theatre play “Let’s not fly anywhere\, Hedgehog…” are going to be presented to the Cypriot youth audience by the artists from the Chelyabinsk Drama Youth Theatre. \n“Let’s not fly away\, Hedgehog …” – a fairytale about kindness\, friendship and love. this can be a performance that will be understandable and interesting for both adults and children. everyone are going to be able to discover something new in it. \nParticular emphasis is placed on the interaction of actors with young viewers who will definitely not be bored at this performance. children become not just spectators\, but also one of the active components of the action on stage\, and without the spectators some parts of the show cannot be played. \nThe peculiarity of the performance is the complete absence of text\, all the action is based on pantomime\, which makes it understandable for everyone without language limitation barriers. \nSomewhere\, not far from us\, the Hedgehog\, the bear cub and also the Hare are living. they’re very different\, each has its own inner world. The Hedgehog is dreamy and vulnerable. The bear is positive and charming. The Hare is open and active. Once they become friends\, they’ll no longer live without one another. After all\, only with a friend you can sit on the porch and wipe the dust from the stars\, so they can shine brighter\, every night without saying a word\, and this may be the best conversation in life.

SUMMARY:Out Cry
DESCRIPTION:Theater AntiLogos presents the rare masterpiece “Out Cry” by Tennessee Williams. \nTennessee Williams regarded “Out Cry” as his best and most personal play after “A streetcar Named Desire”\, however there are few who have agreed with him. Williams worked on the play and revised it incessantly over many years. \n“Out Cry” is a strange work for Williams in that it’s written in an experimental\, minimalist style. The play is endlessly self-referential in that it’s a play within a play and moves back and forth between the inset play and its setting. There are only 2 characters in the play: Felice\, an aging playwright and his sister Clare\, an actress. The play is set during a strange\, cavernous theater in an unspecified locality. Felice and Clare discover that the acting company with which they have been touring has abandoned them on the more than plausible grounds that the two are insane. the 2 are left to put on a play by themselves. Clare needs to back out but Felice insists on going forward. They present a play that Felice has written that they have performed many times before titled “The 2 Character Play”\, which was Williams’ original title for the play that became “Out Cry”. there’s no audience in the house. The play goes forward anyway.

DESCRIPTION:The New Stage of THOC presents the play “The Sound of the Gun” by Loula Anagnostaki\, directed by Adonis Florides. \nPlot: \nMihalis\, a first year student at the industrial engineering department of the university\, who is coming back from a provincial city\, shares a flat with Fani\, a young woman. Yannis\, Fani’s younger brother\, gets caught up in a strange case involving an illegal gun. On the eve of the 1985 national elections\, Mihalis’ mother\, Katia\, comes to Athens in order to vote. She’s going to find out from an old friend\, that Mihalis hasn’t been attending his university classes\, that he’s preparing to go away from the United States and that Fani is pregnant. In an attempt to deal with the situation and the intention to change it\, she comes face to face with her son\, who says that he can kill himself using the illegal gun. Under the pressure of this threat\, Katia falls dead.

You can enjoy them at Technopolis 20 in Paphos\, on Wednesday\, 23rd of January 2019\, at 8pm. \nVafeas and Messios\, both graduates of the Berklee college of Music in Boston\, have a long background together characterized by very good musicianship and creativity. Their common understanding and connection – on and off the stage – enables them to easily interact and bring their enthusiasm to their audience. The trio is embraced by C. Yerolatsitis’ great talent\, energy and his expertise in the Dutch jazz scene and not only.

SUMMARY:The Sound of the Gun
DESCRIPTION:The New Stage of THOC presents the play “The Sound of the Gun” by Loula Anagnostaki\, directed by Adonis Florides. \nPlot: \nMihalis\, a first year student at the industrial engineering department of the university\, who is coming back from a provincial city\, shares a flat with Fani\, a young woman. Yannis\, Fani’s younger brother\, gets caught up in a strange case involving an illegal gun. On the eve of the 1985 national elections\, Mihalis’ mother\, Katia\, comes to Athens in order to vote. She’s going to find out from an old friend\, that Mihalis hasn’t been attending his university classes\, that he’s preparing to go away from the United States and that Fani is pregnant. In an attempt to deal with the situation and the intention to change it\, she comes face to face with her son\, who says that he can kill himself using the illegal gun. Under the pressure of this threat\, Katia falls dead.

DESCRIPTION:Theatro Tsepis presents the musical “Queens Boulevard” by Charles Mee\, translated in Greek by Efi Gabriel and directed by Marios Theocharous. \nAlthough it features vibrant song and dance numbers\, Charles Mee’s Queens street (the musical)\, the second production of Mee’s season at Signature Theatre\, isn’t a Broadway-style tuner. The actors often sing to pre-recorded tracks or perform singing versions of songs. while this might bother some theatergoers\, it’s absolutely in keeping with the collage-like style that Mee has developed in other works. And ultimately — and most significantly — this heartwarming urban fairy tale is absolutely bursting with vitality.

The music is signed again by Vasso Vasileiou while the choreographies are by George Nicolaou. The scenery – dolls – masks and constructions\, are by Androulla Empedokleous and the fantastic costumes are created by Dora Chiotis. The photo is taken by Constantina Loizou. \nTheir fantastic voices in the songs are also given to us by the actors Antonis Lapithiotis and Antonis Faris. \nStage technician – sound engineer – Marinos Spanos. \nFive talented professional actors are singing and dancing:\nGiannis Spanos\, Myria Holdarou\, Xanthia Argyrou – Stavros Konstantinou and Aphrodite Spanou Loizou.

True love has no place for selfishness\, hatred\, or ambitions… True love is that the feeling you may get while watching the Christmas performance of our kids\, of St Loucas’ Special school\, called “The Quilt maker’s Gift” written by the american author Jeff Brumbeau. it’s a performance that has been prepared all the way through with love\, joy\, nice effort and enthusiasm. \nThe joy of giving and the art of being happy are the main themes of our story\, being realised through the talent and love of our own students\, our own heroes. A generous quilt maker with magic fingers\, makes the most lovely quilts in the world\, with colours and patterns that no human has ever seen before\, soft and warm as if they’re filled with angels’ feathers. She doesn’t sell her quilts. Instead\, she walks around in the streets in the cold winter nights and offers them to the poor and homeless people. On the other hand a greedy king who has all the treasures of the world in his palace\, is trying to find somebody who will make him happy and throw away from his heart\, even just for a while\, his boredom\,  misery and loneliness.
