DESCRIPTION:A difficult and demanding solo performance to portray Anzel Kourtian in a theatrical adaptation of the book entitled “The Notebooks of Anzel Kourtian” written by Anzel Kourtian herself\, a survivor of the Armenian genocide (1915) and the Destruction of Smyrna (1922). It’s basically the story of war seen through the eyes of a child. Bursa\, Afyonkarahisar\, Smyrna\, and Mytilene are the stops of Kurtian’s roaming before she settled in the Greek island of Crete and moved later to Kokkinia in Piraeus\, where she started her own family and fulfilled her life with her children and grandchildren. the serious atmosphere of the Armenian genocide and also the Destruction of Smyrna\, the migration and the survival\, the loss of family members\, the pain and the disaster\, arouse deep emotions and chills in the hearts and souls of the spectators that become part of the events narrated on stage.

The years pass and people start forgetting how it felt walking before the royal decree. but memories survive somewhere and prepares the overthrow. \nRoberto Braham (Canicula Puppets)\, puppeteer from Guatemala and marina Katsari\, a storyteller from Cyprus\, unite their arts into a strong storytelling puppetry performance. The dynamism of put-on puppets\, specially crafted for this performance by Roberto Braham and the atmospheric narration give birth to an entire world of power and resistance\, jokes and tragedy\, darkness but also light. The performance is based on the folk tale ‘’The crutches’’ as included in lily Labrelli’s collection ‘’Ten plus one wisdom tales for times of crisis and other difficulties’’\, (Pataki editions\, 2014). \nThe performance is appropriate for teenagers and adults.

DESCRIPTION:The performance was staged by the renowned Kaluga Regional Drama Theater\, which is the same age as Alexander Pushkin and\, in 242 years of its existence\, has preserved and enhanced the best traditions of Russian theatre art. \nThe play was created on the premise of the novel “Outside the Earth” by the outstanding Russian scientist and inventor\, the founder of theoretical cosmonautics\, K. Tsiolkovsky. \nThe story of the novel says that between the highest picks of the Himalayas is a beautiful castle is hidden- the dwelling of people. Several scientists\, philosophers\, researchers and inventors have recently settled in it. Disappointment in people and also the joys of life drove the heroes into solitude and united into a fraternal hermit family. \nWhat do these highly intelligent hermits dream about? of course\, how to make people fly into space. Four scientists\, fanatically devoted to science\, are developing an ambitious 1st space travel plan. They make calculations\, design and build a spacecraft\, and then\, taking with them 2 curious girls\, start from the earth. \nThe spectator can witness a takeoff with heavy overloads and astronauts hovering in zero gravity. Then there’ll be a construction of a greenhouse and consumption of space grown cucumbers and apples\, spacewalks and even landing on the moon. and all this – with spectacular special effects\, bright costumes and sparkling fun. Desperate dreamers … but their dreams must come true!
