Think of it as a hackathon focused on game development. It is the growth of an idea that in today’s heavily connected world\, we could come together\, be creative\, share experiences and express ourselves in a multitude of ways using video games – it is very universal. The weekend stirs a global creative buzz in games\, while at the same time exploring the process of development\, be it programming\, iterative design\, narrative exploration or artistic expression. It is all condensed into a 48 hour development cycle. The GGJ encourages people with all kinds of backgrounds to participate and contribute to this global spread of game development and creativity. \nThe structure of a jam is usually that everyone gathers on Friday late afternoon\, watches a short video keynote with advice from leading game developers\, and then a secret theme is announced. All sites worldwide are then challenged to make games based on that same theme\, with games to be completed by Sunday afternoon. In January 2019\, we had 860 locations in 113 countries create 9\,010 games in one weekend! GGJ 2020 is 31 January – 2 February at a location near you… if not you can make one of your own. The jam is known for helping foster new friendships\, increase confidence and opportunities within the community. The jam is always an intellectual challenge. DESCRIPTION:JAZZ THE 3 OF US are performing again at Technopolis 20 in Paphos\, promising a great night full of jazz in various styles and sounds\, on Friday\, 31st of January 2020\, at 8pm. \nThe band features the deep friendship between the three musicians\, Loukas Louka on the keys\, Stefanos Pontos on the bass and guitar\, and Philipp Psillides on the drums. They have been active in the Cypriot jazz scene during the last 10 years and have had many performances as members of various other jazz ensembles in various music scenes around Cyprus. \nTheir repertoire includes well-known Jazz standards\, mainly in swing and bossa nova\, but also lesser known tracks in Jazz Rock\, Latin and Funk styles. A main characteristic of this trio\, in addition to the well-known experimentation with melody and rhythm in jazz improvisation\, is also the experimentation with different combinations of instruments and sounds on keys\, such as the combination of the organ\, the guitar and the drums without the bass. \nEntrance: 10 euro\nReservations are necessary at 70002420 (calls only). \nA few words about the musicians\nLoukas Louka is a Cypriot pianist and music teacher. He started studying classical piano from the age of 8. At the age of 22\, he begun studying jazz piano with Cypriot jazz pianist Marios Toumbas and later he had lessons on jazz improvisation with Cypriot jazz guitarist Giannos Savvides. He participated for about 2 years in the Jazz Ensembles of the European University under the instruction of Marios Toumbas and also attended the “Jazz Futures” workshops that took place in Nicosia from 2008 until 2011\, under the instruction of great jazz musicians from New York\, such as Sacha Perry\, Vahagn Hayrapetyan\, Ari Roland and Chris Byars. In 2012\, he succeeded taking the ALCM diploma in Jazz Piano of London College of Music. Since then\, he has performed as a member in several jazz combos during various events in Cyprus. Loukas is currently teaching music in elementary schools and also performing jazz music in several jazz venues all around Cyprus. \nPhilipp Psillides is a Cypriot professional drummer and instructor. He studied Jazz through the “Jazz Futures\,” a program sponsored by the U.S. Embassy\, were he had the opportunity to play with and learn Jazz from New York musicians. By the age of 21 he was offered a scholarship at the University of Nicosia\, were he majored in Jazz Performance-Drums. After graduating on 2014 Philipp travelled to New York where he took lessons from the well-known drummer Jean-Pierre Bouvet (JP Bouvet). Philipp currently lives in Cyprus and works as instructor in the private school “American International\,” in the music academy “Musicopolis” and in the private school “Falcon”. He has also been playing different styles of music\, such as jazz and latin\, with numerous bands around Cyprus. \nStefanos Pontos is a musician and sound engineer from Cyprus. He studied jazz guitar at the European University of Nicosia and since then has worked with various jazz artists of the island. After his graduation he studied jazz improvisation for another three years with John Savvides. He later moved to the United Kingdom to study Sound engineering and Tour Management. After gaining his diploma he worked for various PA companies and bands on music events and festivals in the UK and abroad. He was one of the in-house sound engineers at BIMM (British Institute of Modern Music) in Brighton\, where he also taught Basic Recording Skills. He was the sound engineer on the weekly masterclasses where he worked with a lot of guest artists like Morris Pleasure\, Jennifer Batten\, Guthrie Govan\, Sid Wilson\, Adam Wakeman\, Remi Kabaka.

DESCRIPTION:We are very happy to announce that the largest group of Wines of Peloponnese winemakers ever to visit Cyprus arrives at 3rd of February in Limassol to showcase their beautifully crafted\, top quality wines to all Cypriot professionals and passionate oenophiles. The event will take place at the Ceronia Hall of Carob Mill Restaurants in Limassol from 12:00 – 20:00 and it is open to professionals and oenophiles. \n26 top Peloponnese winemakers will visit Limassol for their annual walk around tasting event that will highlight the big picture of the Peloponnese vineyard with its amazing diversity of styles and varietals. This is the only union of Winemakers in Greece to hold a tasting event in Cyprus each year for the last 4 years. \nThe wines will be diverse\, with an amazing array of indigenous and international varieties grown in the biggest Greek vineyard\, from regions spanning from Nemea and Patra through to Monemvasia and Kalamata. There will be more than 200 hundred different wines available for tasting throughout the walk around tasting event\, so please wear your comfortable shoes and get prepared for a great wine marathon. \nYannis Karakasis MW will also host a master class for a second year within the Peloponnese Wine Festival.
