The 3 artists can add their stigma and temperament to not only well known jazz standards but to original compositions as well. You can enjoy them at Technopolis 20 in Paphos\, on Wednesday\, 23rd of January 2019\, at 8pm. \nVafeas and Messios\, both graduates of the Berklee college of Music in Boston\, have a long background together characterized by very good musicianship and creativity. Their common understanding and connection – on and off the stage – enables them to easily interact and bring their enthusiasm to their audience. The trio is embraced by C. Yerolatsitis’ great talent\, energy and his expertise in the Dutch jazz scene and not only.

DESCRIPTION:The New Stage of THOC presents the play “The Sound of the Gun” by Loula Anagnostaki\, directed by Adonis Florides. \nPlot: \nMihalis\, a first year student at the industrial engineering department of the university\, who is coming back from a provincial city\, shares a flat with Fani\, a young woman. Yannis\, Fani’s younger brother\, gets caught up in a strange case involving an illegal gun. On the eve of the 1985 national elections\, Mihalis’ mother\, Katia\, comes to Athens in order to vote. She’s going to find out from an old friend\, that Mihalis hasn’t been attending his university classes\, that he’s preparing to go away from the United States and that Fani is pregnant. In an attempt to deal with the situation and the intention to change it\, she comes face to face with her son\, who says that he can kill himself using the illegal gun. Under the pressure of this threat\, Katia falls dead.

DESCRIPTION:Theater AntiLogos presents the rare masterpiece “Out Cry” by Tennessee Williams. \nTennessee Williams regarded “Out Cry” as his best and most personal play after “A streetcar Named Desire”\, however there are few who have agreed with him. Williams worked on the play and revised it incessantly over many years. \n“Out Cry” is a strange work for Williams in that it’s written in an experimental\, minimalist style. The play is endlessly self-referential in that it’s a play within a play and moves back and forth between the inset play and its setting. There are only 2 characters in the play: Felice\, an aging playwright and his sister Clare\, an actress. The play is set during a strange\, cavernous theater in an unspecified locality. Felice and Clare discover that the acting company with which they have been touring has abandoned them on the more than plausible grounds that the two are insane. the 2 are left to put on a play by themselves. Clare needs to back out but Felice insists on going forward. They present a play that Felice has written that they have performed many times before titled “The 2 Character Play”\, which was Williams’ original title for the play that became “Out Cry”. there’s no audience in the house. The play goes forward anyway.

DESCRIPTION:On January 22-24\, in the theaters of Larnaca\, Nicosia and Limassol\, the fairytale theatre play “Let’s not fly anywhere\, Hedgehog…” are going to be presented to the Cypriot youth audience by the artists from the Chelyabinsk Drama Youth Theatre. \n“Let’s not fly away\, Hedgehog …” – a fairytale about kindness\, friendship and love. this can be a performance that will be understandable and interesting for both adults and children. everyone are going to be able to discover something new in it. \nParticular emphasis is placed on the interaction of actors with young viewers who will definitely not be bored at this performance. children become not just spectators\, but also one of the active components of the action on stage\, and without the spectators some parts of the show cannot be played. \nThe peculiarity of the performance is the complete absence of text\, all the action is based on pantomime\, which makes it understandable for everyone without language limitation barriers. \nSomewhere\, not far from us\, the Hedgehog\, the bear cub and also the Hare are living. they’re very different\, each has its own inner world. The Hedgehog is dreamy and vulnerable. The bear is positive and charming. The Hare is open and active. Once they become friends\, they’ll no longer live without one another. After all\, only with a friend you can sit on the porch and wipe the dust from the stars\, so they can shine brighter\, every night without saying a word\, and this may be the best conversation in life.
