SUMMARY:1st Cyprus Hip-hop Dance Theatre Platform
DESCRIPTION:Breakalign Grounds is that the first hip-hop dance theatre platform initiative by Nefeli Tsiouti of Project Breakalign. This platform aims to showcase the upcoming talents in hip-hop dance theatre of the island of Cyprus. Curated by Nefeli Tsiouti (CY)\, and guided by the dramatic art of Christina Kostoula (GR/UK)\, this night will present a brand new perspective of hip-hop\, together with dance theatre dramatic art. \nThe performance can begin with three short hip-hop dance theatre items by:\n• the player Natalia Panagiotou\, together with her solo ‘Diha’\n• the dancer Nefeli Tsiouti (sMash) together with her solo ‘Locus Amoenus’\n• the dancers Noutsa Snouts Poulouzasvili & Tonia XNightmarex Kyriakou (Bgirl Nightmare) with their duet ‘Artists Anonymous’ \nThe main subsidizing for this platform has been given by the Cultural Services of the Ministry of Culture & Education\, for the growth of the piece ‘Endymion’\, that was initially developed as a part of the Artists in Residence at the Dance House Nicosia between March – june 2018. The piece ‘Endymion’ is choreographed by Nefeli Tsiouti\, and Christina Kostoula as assistant of dramatic art\, and performers Kyriakos Blaze Ierodiakonou\, Giannis Economides and Constantinos Chuckss Tsiakkas (Chucks). Her recital in Nicosia\, on 23 November 2018\, coincides with the release of her new album\, Beyond\, and it’ll include works by J.S. Bach\, Liszt\, Franck and prokofiev. DESCRIPTION:Lecture by Enrico Lunghi (Art historian\, curator\, former director of Casino Luxmenberg and Μudam Luxembourg) \n“Mudam Luxembourg : From dream to reality a short story of a controversial museum” \n“In the context of rapid internationalization through the expansion of the european Union and the development of its financial sector\, the government of Luxembourg set in 1989 to create a contemporary art museum. A dream appeared to become reality for people who desired to get closer to the heart of art however the (mostly unspoken) political agenda rather aimed to polish the international image of the state\, attract investors and have a place to show off. After 17 years of polemics the Musée d’art moderne (no explanation was given for the change of name) finally opened in July 2006. nevertheless\, the first decade of its opening nourished the dream of an innovative and creative institution\, while in its recent developments the political agenda starts prevailing.” \nEnrico Lunghi studied art history and history at the University of Strasbourg. From 1991 until 1995 he was assistant at the national museum of history and art in Luxembourg. In 1996 he cofounded\, with Jo Kox\, the Casino Luxembourg-Forum d’art contemporain of which he was the artistic director until 2008. From 2009 to 2016 he was general director of Mudam. He was curator for Luxembourg at the Venice biennial in 1995 (Bert Theis\, Potemkin Lock)\, in 1999 (Simone Decker\, chewing and folding projects) and 2007 (Jill Mercedes\, Endless Lust). From 2005 until 2011 he was president of IKT (International association of curators of contemporary art). he works now at the Ministry of Education (SCRIPT) and at the University of Luxembourg.

Liam’s recollection of the event begins to change under questioning\, suspicions are aroused followed by increasing concern that he may have been more involved than first thought. Liam explains the events stage by stage\, causing him to accidentally reveal that he committed a racially motivated  hate crime. Helen coerces Danny to intimidate Liam’s victim in order to stop him from going to the police. When Danny and Liam come back\, Helen orders Liam to leave their home. Danny\, shaken by what he is done and disgusted by Helen’s morally bankrupt behaviour over the course of the night\, tells Helen he wants her to abort her pregnancy. \nDirector: Neoclis Neocleous

Yannis\, Fani’s younger brother\, gets caught up in a strange case involving an illegal gun. On the eve of the 1985 national elections\, Mihalis’ mother\, Katia\, comes to Athens in order to vote. She’s going to find out from an old friend\, that Mihalis hasn’t been attending his university classes\, that he’s preparing to go away from the United States and that Fani is pregnant. In an attempt to deal with the situation and the intention to change it\, she comes face to face with her son\, who says that he can kill himself using the illegal gun. Under the pressure of this threat\, Katia falls dead.
