Giannis Antetokounmpo has been crowned the NBA’s most valuable player.
Antetokounmpo, a forward for the Milwaukee Bucks, gave a heartfelt speech thanking his coaches, teammates and his father, Charles, who died in September 2017 of a heart attack, according to the NBA’s website.

“I want to thank my dad. Obviously, you know, he’s not here with me. Two years ago, I had the goal in my head that I’m going to be the best player in the league and I’m going to do whatever it takes to help my team win and I’m going to win the MVP,” he said.

“Everyday that I step on the floor, I always think about my dad and that motivates me, that pushes me to play harder and move forward.”

In his speech at the reception of the award, the Greek Freak thanked God, his coaches, teammates, Greece, his father, his mother and his family, his agents, and reiterated that his great goal is to win the NBA championship.

Giannis started very well and put the first two point of the All Star Game. Team Giannis made an amazing first half and was ahead with 53-37.

Greek Freak’s team continued to do whatever they wanted during the game, with the Giannis giving us the highlight of the evening.

But Team LeBron got serious and returned to claim victory.

In the end, the King’s team stepped on it and eventually reached the victory, which is the second consecutive after last year’s victory.

For the winners, Durant, who was voted MVP had 31, Thompson 20 and LeBron and Harden 19. For the defeated team, besides Giannis, George and Midleton scored 20 points each.

In his statements after the end of the All Star Game, Giannis having his brothers beside him, thanked the Greek fans for their support.

“My family is important to me”, the Greek forward said.

Referring to the Greek fans he said “thank you for the support. They support my team, my family. I know they stay up all night to see me for me”.
