The “Church of Love” is the only chapel in Cyprus and around the world, which is dedicated to the “Virgin of Love”.

It is a beautiful church dedicated to lovers, which is located near the village of Vavla, in the province of Larnaca.

The Church of Love was built in 1935 and its icon was painted in the 16th century. 75 years ago, the image was stolen by unknown priestly thieves, who wanted to take it abroad.

In this little church, according to tradition, the man or woman who wants to fall in love with the one he loves or does not find the expected response, then goes to the little church.

There is the sacred soil of the Virgin Mary, which is located under a marble, behind the Holy Table, in the Virgin Mary of Love. Then he must take a small amount of the sacred soil, which the interested person should throw in the water or coffee that the person who wants to fall in love with will drink and then he will feel the eternal love, for the person who gave it to him. .

They also say that if you visit it with your partner it will seal your love and you will stay in love forever.

On the outside of the church there is a tree, on which are engraved various initially in love people, while inside the church there are photos of couples, heart-shaped candles and written dozens of vows of eternal love.

Emirates’ network now spans 48 cities

Emirates will be offering scheduled flights for passengers from seven additional cities in the month of July. These include Larnaca (from 15 July), Khartoum (from 03 July), Amman (from 05 July), Osaka (from 07 July), Narita (from 08 July), Athens (from 15 July) and Rome (15 July).

Golden Donkey Farm

Golden Donkey farm is located at Skarinou and it is the largest donkey farm in Cyprus, producing donkey milk, chocolate, liqueurs and cosmetics. All the products have donkey milk as their basic ingredient.

At golden donkey farm you will be able to see the lovely donkeys, learn everything about their existence, ride donkeys, enjoy the wonderful nature of the area, buy donkey milk and organic olive oil from the farm and visit the museums that exist in the park with wax statues and traditional Cypriot works.

There is a restaurant at the park and on Sunday noon a buffet is served with prices of €12 for adults, and €6 for children. The price includes the entrance.

Petreon Sculpture Park

Petreon Sculpture Park is the culmination of a dream and 14 000 hours of work. An ever-growing collection of large-scale sculptures in a permanent open-air exhibition is the main – but not the only – park attraction. An extensive collection of small sculptures are scattered throughout the grounds.

In the small stone church, you can get intimately acquainted with the byzantine icon tradition through the collection of hand-painted icons and the “Archontariki” gallery is hosting various exhibitions, including small scale sculptures and paintings.

This follows a decision to scrap a planned underground parking that may have created problems with managing water from excavations.

However, if drainage issues do develop during foundation work, construction must stop and the company must submit a water management study to the environment service, the paper said.

Conditions were placed as regards the project’s proximity to a Seveso zone (an EU directive on the control of major accidents hazards involving dangerous substances) and special anti-earthquake requirements.

The proposed building will have 20 storeys, with a commercial use ground floor that can house three shops and 14 parking spots. The main parking facilities will be above the shops. Three storeys will be used for the building’s technical equipment while the remaining floors will have four, three or two residential apartments per storey. In total there will be 46 apartments of two or three bedrooms.

The project will be built on a piece of land of 1,982 square metres and the total built area will be 6,080 square metres.
