The countless palm trees in the background add their own touch to the idyllic scenery of Foinikoudes beach which is located in the heart of Larnaca and is undoubtedly the most beloved beach in the area.

Awarded with the Blue Flag, this 500m sandy beach, offers all kinds of amenities, as well as a wide variety of entertainment activities, while being accessible by the disabled.

Behind this lengthy beach, the heart of the city’s commercial center unfolds. Daily trips to the world-famous Cape Greco start from the Larnaca marina (a few meters away), while a visit to Larnaca castle is strongly recommended.

Kastella Beach

If you are a fun of beach bars, good music and relaxation, then Kastella beach is the ideal place for you.

Kastella is an endless beach with many beach bars and restaurants just a few minutes away from the city center.

To the north of the coast, you can find the popular Makenzy beach, while in the west there is a small place for those who love fishing (you will definitely meet some local fishermen there), known as Psarolimano.

This particular beach with its fine gray sand is found in Piale Pasha and is awarded with the Blue flag. Over the years the beach has picked up fanatic visitors, who either enjoy the beautifully clear waters or seek to attend music or other events.

Mackenzie Beach

The beach is named after a small seaside accommodation of Scottish military McKenzie, created in 1940 to honor him and his friends. Soon after, it turned into a cosmopolitan beach with plenty of coffee shops, restaurants and hotels.The area is very popular among the locals as well as the foreigners.

Awarded with the Blue Flag, Mackenzie beach covers an area of about 1 kilometer, alongside the length of the pedestrian street which is a great option to visit especially during the summer.

Additionally, 2 nautical miles from the sand of Mackenzie beach, you will find the Zinovia wreck (also knows as the Mediterranean Titanic), one of the best diving spots in the world.

Faros Beach

At the end of a long coastline near the village of Pervolia, you can find Faros beach.

The beach is awarded with the Blue Flag and is bearing the name of the lighthouse (faros) that was built during the British occupation and has saved many sailors.

The beach is sandy, partly organized, and is considered as an ideal place for families.

The peninsula is an opportunity for both young and old to enjoy the view from above.

The Faros beach can be reached easily by following the beautiful statue of Kallipateira and then walk down the stairs from the cafe-restaurant.

Mazotos Beach

mazotos_beachThis popular amongst the locals beach, is characterized by a long coastline, about 7 kilometers long and its waters are considered to be among the most clear in the whole island.

The beach is partly organized and besides 2-3 snack bars, you can also find several wind-surfing schools. You can walk through the beach, or in the palm trees forest, to the spots where the waves blast.

If you like the waves, then you will definitely love the beach of Softades.

Softades beach has crystal clear waters, endless sand and is attracting a large number of surfers due to the fact that the winds in the area form excellent surfing waves throughout the year.

For lovers of wind surfing, who prefer the specific beach in order to indulge in their favorite water sport, Softades beach is like a paradis. Watch out for some dangerous rocks that exist in some parts of the sea.

Palm Beach
